One of the most anticipated fall events in San Francisco kicks off this weekend. And you’ll find the best strummin’, pickin’ and fiddle playin’ on the planet — a hoedown of epic proportions.
The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival is coming to Golden Gate Park with live performances by some of the most popular traveling country, folk and rock and roll acts in the U.S. It all begins Sept. 30 and continues through the weekend until Sunday, Oct. 2. You’ll find six stages set up in Speedway, Lindley and Marx Meadows in Golden Gate Park and the best part is that the concert is FREE!
A music festival in Chinatown? Yes, it’s true.
The Chinese Culture Center (CCC) presents the 2nd Annual Chinatown Music Festival in San Francisco’s Chinatown this Sunday, Sept. 25. This will be the first free, outdoor concert ever held in Chinatown.
San Francisco is known for its love of the blues. So this weekend, Sept. 24 and 25, it’s hosting the 2nd Annual Polk Street Blues Festival on Polk Street, of course, from Jackson to California from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
From guitar gods to hip-bop. Keyboard wizardry to 13th century vocals. Brazil to Cuba, New Orleans and the Siberian steppe. Jazz fans, the San Francisco Jazz Festival starts this week!
The San Francisco Jazz Festival kicks off this Thursday, Sept. 15 and lasts three months through Dec. 18. It includes a total of 41 shows that showcase the broad spectrum of music that make up jazz.
Love reggae music? Then you’ll want to check out the first annual San Francisco Reggae Festival this Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Fillmore Plaza on Fillmore Street (@ O’Farrell). Here’s the artist line-up:
