 About: In its fifth year, the Treasure Island Music Festival is one of San Francisco’s most unique music experiences. Saturday will be headlined by Empire of the Sun, while Sunday will be headlined by Death Cab For Cutie.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Free Concert in the Park

One of the most anticipated fall events in San Francisco kicks off this weekend. And you’ll find the best strummin’, pickin’ and fiddle playin’ on the planet — a hoedown of epic proportions.

The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival is coming to Golden Gate Park with live performances by some of the most popular traveling country, folk and rock and roll acts in the U.S.  It all begins Sept. 30 and continues through the weekend until Sunday, Oct. 2. You’ll find six stages set up in Speedway, Lindley and Marx Meadows in Golden Gate Park and the best part is that the concert is FREE!

The San Francisco Jazz Festival kicks off this Thursday, Sept. 15 and lasts three months through Dec. 18. It includes a total of 41 shows that showcase the broad spectrum of music that make up jazz.
