Kevin Spacey, Sam Mendes, King Richard III, San Francisco
Kevin Spacey is going to be in town!
If you love Kevin Spacey like I do, you won’t want to miss the latest production of Richard III by William Shakespeare, featuring Kevin Spacey, at the Curran Theatre, Oct. 19 through 29. San Francisco is the only other U.S. city, other than Brooklyn Acadamy of Music in New York, to host this landmark event.
Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes, who also directed Kevin Spacey in American Beauty, Richard III is a modern interpretation of one of Shakespeare’s best known plays. Led by Kevin Spacey in the role of Richard III, the company features another formidable British/American cast that includes Maureen Anderman as the Duchess of York; Haydn Gwynne as Queen Elizabeth; Chuk Iwuji as Duke of Buckingham; Gemma Jones (Bridget Jones’ Diary, Sense & Sensibility) as Queen Margaret; and Chandler Williams as George, Duke of Clarence.
San Francisco is one of 10 cities around the world that has been chosen to host Richard III. The other cities include London, Epidaurus, Hong Kong, Aviles (Spain), Istanbul, Beijing, Singapore, Sydney and New York.
To get your tickets, visit the SHN website now. There are a limited number of seats still available but I managed to get mine! I don’t want to miss this.

My short and sweet review: Loved Kevin Spacey in this but it was long and very hard to follow.
