It has arrived! The Biergarten at the Hayes Valley Proxy

IMAG0237

It’s open!

I was in Hayes Valley on Saturday doing some shopping and the Biergarten at the Proxy was finally open. Suppenküche owner Aaron Hulme finally unleashed a “restaurant with the roof ripped off” and six rotating draft beers at the Proxy project.

Unfortunately, there wil be no beer boots but liters and half-liters will be available. On the food side, typical Bavarian beer garden fare will be offered in a full-service setting. There will be bratwursts, potato salad, a variety of pretzel options and even pretzel sandwiches. There will be roast pork sandwiches and custom-made Firebrand breads, too. Also, eventually, a rotisserie oven will be installed, churning out half chickens.

This is defintely a game changer for the dining and drinking scene in Hayes Valley.
