Foodies: Mark Your Calendars for SF Chefs 2011
Experience SF Chefs 2011, one of San Francisco’s biggest food, wine and spirits festivals, in Union Square and various locations throughout the city August 1 – 7. This festival celebrates the unique flavors of Northern California with opportunities to meet master chefs, mixologists and winemakers. You’ll also be able to take part in tastings, parties, competitions, classes and seminars offer interactive opportunities to engage with celebrity chefs and culinary experts.
Here are some of the events that caught my eye:
- Friday Night Opening Celebration & Grand Tasting: An all-you-can-savor event where you can sample tastes from some of the best restaurants in this city (Foreign Cinema, RN74, nopa, Wexler’s, Baker & Banker, Michael Mina, Incanto, Locanda and more) and drinks from Alembic, 15 Romolo, Comstock Saloon, Smuggler’s Cove and more.
- Anolon Chef Demo: Michael Chiarello & Tyler Florence: Michael Chiarello (Bottega, NapaStyle) and Tyler Florence (Wayfare Tavern). Do you need more reasons to go check this out?
- Saturday Night Grand Tasting: Decadence After Dark: Sponsored by GILT City, this star-studded event will be hosted by a line-up of San Francisco’s most innovative chefs showcasing their favorite dishes and sharing what inspired their creation.
